Azelis wins the prestigious ‘Coup de Coeur’ award at ‘I Feel Good 2024’

Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce it has won the Coup de Coeur award at ‘I Feel Good 2024’ in Paris. Azelis received the award for the formulation “Lutein-licious beverage,” a refreshing tangerine-flavored beverage that combines the power of the key ingredients for eye health: lutein, zeaxanthin, and lycopene. This award recognizes Azelis’ continuing efforts to deliver innovative services and focus on collaboration across its vast network of application laboratories.

By combining the benefits of lutein and zeaxanthin with lycopene, this elixir, developed in the Azelis Food & Nutrition laboratory in Paris, becomes a powerhouse for ocular health*. Lutein and zeaxanthin, renowned for protecting the eyes from age-related macular disease, combined with the protective qualities of lycopene, fosters clarity and visual acuity. The Azelis teams added gellan gum as a stabilizer, suspending the lutein oil droplets and preventing them from rising to the surface. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, the dispersion also ensures that the active ingredients are evenly ingested. This formulation combines liposoluble active ingredients, stabilized in an oily base, with beneficial effects on vision.

Alongside the “Lutein-licious beverage,” Azelis presented several other prototypes developed by the lab team. All contributed to internal and external well-being, with a focus on functionality, texture, and taste.
