Azelis secures two recognitions at the 2024 Ringier Technology Innovation Awards for Personal Care

Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry, is pleased to announce two recognitions at the 2024 Ringier Technology Innovation Awards for Personal Care. The awards were received in the Functional Chemicals and Active Chemicals categories.

Azelis received both awards based on the in-depth technical knowledge of CP Kelco and Agrana's products, including extensive assessment, research and analysis of each winning ingredient’s efficacy, functionality, and sustainable characteristics. The team’s solid technical expertise and deep understanding of the market led to submitting the ingredients: CP Kelco’s KELCOSENS™  Citrus Fiber PiEL and Agrana’s PuraBeet®.

CP Kelco’s KELCOSENS™ Citrus Fiber PiEL is an Upcycled Certified® ingredient made from citrus peels, a by-product of the juice industry as part of a waste-free, peel-to-product approach. The gentle, emulsifier-free alternative offers stabilization and a light skin feel, and delivers texturizing benefits to a variety of personal care formulations, including serums, gels and creams.

Agrana’s PuraBeet® is a 100% plant-based, multifunctional ingredient that can be used as a natural moisturizer and cell protector. Extracted from sugar beets, its high water-soluble properties make it suitable for formulation in a wide range of applications, including skin care, hair care, and oral care. The addition of betaine improves performance, boosts skin hydration, and reduces the inflammatory effect of chemical compounds found in personal care products.
